With hiring sentiments on the rise, Ahmedabad-based DF Pharmacy, which already operates in e-commerce and social networking space for pharmaceutical players, has launched a dedicated job portal pharmaalljobs for the sector.
The pharma sector in India has been an active recruiter, as many dub it as a recession-proof industry. According to industry estimates the recruitments by pharma companies is likely to increase by 20 per cent during the current fiscal. Parth Patel, chief executive officer of the portal said,”We think there is ample opportunity in the online recruitment space, specifically catering to the needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. We went live on April 5, and have already have around 102 job listings and about 150 resumes.”
While established job portals like naukri and monster already list pharmaceutical jobs, Patel feels that in order to garner market share from these popular portals, he would keep the services of pharmaalljobs free of cost for the first two years. “For recruiters,we plan to charge no fee from them for the first two years, post which we would start charging them. Also, since ours is a dedicated job portal for pharmaceutical industry, recruiters would find more relevant resumes here,” he claims.
By the end of May pharmaalljobs aims to have at least 1500 resumes on its portal. “The market for pharma jobs listed online is around Rs 80-100 crore. We plan to clock in revenues worth Rs 2 crore from our portal in the third year. We have so far invested close to Rs 2.5 lakh on developing the portal,” he said.
