Agribiz grad bags $ 65,000

Continuing its successful placement last year, Anand Rajan a student of agribusiness management at IIMA has bagged $ 65,000, the highest package an increase of $ 10,000 from last year $ 55,000, at the recently concluded placement.

Anand will join Singapore based Olam International Ltd.

In the domestic section, the highest salary has been bagged by Anukool Joshi who fetches 8.25 lakh per annum.

He has been picked by Godrej Agrovet in Mumbai. The average pay package this year is 7.4 lakh per annum.

Students had plenty to choose from as a total of 38 offers were made to the batch of 23 students.

Seven lateral offer were made already to students with prior work experience and the average salary offered to lateral candidates stood at Rs7.95 lakhs per annum.

This year saw corporates such as Bunge, ICICI bank, NCDEX and Venkateshwara Hatcheries coming for the placement. Other companies that came calling for recruits include ITC Limited, Nestlé India, ICICI Lombard and Reliance retail.
