Annex to offer Birmingham College courses

Kolkata-based Annex College of Management Studies (ACMS) joined hands with Birmingham College, United Kingdom to offer the MBA aspirants of West Bengal and Eastern India a taste of international working experience at a modest price of only five to six lakhs.

The one year post graduate executive MBA programme would be offered by Birmingham Colleg under the Indian Business Development centre programme certified by Sweden based Jonkoping International Business School.

Speaking at the launch of this new one post graduate executive MBA program, Vikas Singh, director, ACMS, said “This would be a new avenue for international management education for the aspirants in Kolkata as well as the whole of Eastern India at the lowest fee possible.”

The Unique Selling Proposition of the programme amidst the clutter of mushrooming management programs flooded in the market would be the oppurtunity to do internships in countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Great Britain which this programme offered.

ACMS has reserved 60 seats for every batch initially which could be further expanded later on, he said.

The course fee for this one year Executive programme has been fixed at Rs 5-6 lakh which included both training, internship and project work in European countries.

The Institute also launched a two year MBA programme in retail management under Punjab Technical University costing Rs three lakhs to cater to the large retail industry.

“Indian retail sector is witnessing a phenomenal growth as the Indian retail sector is expected to grow seven percent per annum. This would create huge employment oppurtunity in the Rs 35000 crore organised retail industry in India. We hope to meet the demand of skilled trained professional in this sector”, said Singh.
