Asian School of Business Management (ASBM) will launch Bachelors and Master degree courses in Social Works at a campus adjacent to its existing premises on the outskirt of the city. The course quality will be benchmarking with the Tata Institute of Social Science, a premier social science institute in the country, said Bisawjit Pattanayak, group director, ASBM.
The two courses, Bachelors in Social Science and Masters in Social Science, will have intake of 66 students each.
“The new campus will be christened as Asian Institute of Social Science. Besides, we also want to make it a centre of excellence”, he added.
Pattanayak was speaking on the occasion of inauguration of 6th batch post graduate programme in management at the institute.
The college authorities have got the affiliation for the course from the Utkal University of Culture and the admission process is scheduled to start in September. The classes are likely to start from November.
Asked about the course fees, Pattnayak said, it has not yet been decided but it will be reasonable so that students from all strata of the society can have a chance to pursue their studies on the subject.
Group CEO of JRD Securities, Anand Tandon and parliamentarian, Pyarimohan Mohapatra were among the dignitaries who also spoke on the occasion.
