Ashish Nanda visits IIM-A, meets faculty

Nanda has been meeting senior, key faculty members in order to get familiarised with workings of institute

Ahead of his official joining date on September 02, 2013, newly appointed director at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) Ashish Nanda is on a campus visit at the premier B-school.  

Having attended the Independence Day celebrations on Thursday, IIM-A alumnus and Harvard professor Nanda has been organising meetings with various senior and key faculty members in order to get familiarised with the workings of the institute.

Even on Friday, Nanda met up few faculty members, holding almost hour-long meetings in a bid to understand the day-to-day functioning, their role and important pending decisions that will need his attention when he assumes charge on September 02.  It has been learnt that on August 19, Nanda will meet up his predecessor former IIM-A director Samir Barua as well.

Recently, IIM-A announced appointment of Harvard professor Nanda as its next full-time director.  To be on campus till August 23 , Nanda will return to Harvard before joining back IIM-A in September.

Currently a Robert Braucher Professor of Practice, Faculty Director of Executive Education, and Research Director at the Program on the Legal Profession at Harvard Law School, Nanda teaches 'Professional Services' in the JD program, is faculty director of Harvard Law School Executive Education, and teaches in Harvard Business School's executive education courses.
