The Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED) of the Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad has joined hands with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) to jointly organise the TiE-ISB Connect"� a three-day long "�September 20-22, event.

Discussion forums on various issues will be held at the event. Pullela Gopichand (badminton player) will speak on sports and fitness, Jnan Dash (CTO, Sonata Software) on Internet, Kiran Gandhi (MD, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd) on infrastructure and real estate and Jacob Kurian on retail.

The keynote speakers will include Ajit Balakrishnan (CEO, Rediff.com), Anji Reddy (founder-chairman of Dr Reddy's), CD Gopinath (cricketer), Kanwal Rekhi (former CTO, Novell), Peter Mukherjea (chief executive, Star India) and Ramalinga Raju (Satyam chairman) among others. The event will also have a workshop titled 'Jumpstart Your Venture' wherein various sessions will dwell upon how business plans can be prepared, how to identify an opportunity and evaluate it.

Hospital mgmt

IIM Ahmedabad will organise a programme in 'Hospital Management '. The programme aims to equip the senior hospital managers and administrators with the necessary management inputs for efficient and effective management of their hospitals. The programme is designed for medical, paramedical, and non-medical professionals who are in the senior management and administrative positions in medium to large hospitals.

Players: Deans and directors of medical colleges, hospital superintendents, deputy superintendents, medical directors, nursing directors, heads of departments, and administrators with substantial managerial responsibilities, interests, and motivation to learn and improve hospital services.

Effective Communication

IIM Indore will hold a programme in 'Effective Communication for Managers'. The programme aims at understanding how to use aspects of communication that can ensure increased productivity, quicker problem solving, stronger decision making and enhance professional image.

IIM Lucknow will hold a four-day course in 'Marketing: The winning concepts and practices'. The course will focus on training executives in developing a clear understanding of marketing concepts.
