Connectiva to double workforce

The US-based Connectiva Systems Ltd (CSL), which operates primarily in the telecom domain, is looking at the possibility of entering into banking, finance, medical and hospitality sectors.
 
The company also hopes to double its employee strength and its turnover in 2005-06.
 
"We are looking at the possibility of offering our systems and software to industries like the banking & finance, medical and the hospitality industry. The idea would be to tie-up with larger companies "" giants in respective domain where our systems can be deployed in conjunction with the systems and software they deploy for application," explained Avi Basu, chief operating officer of CSL.
 
Basu said the company, following a tie-up with large telecom player, was engaged in an hiring spree where it intended to double its manpower in the next couple of months.
 
The company, floated through a couple of venture capital funds, had also entered into talks with its existing venture capital funds, Carthage Partners Fund and Ovation Capital Fund, along with a few new others for additional funding.
 
Basu also said the company also did not rule out the possibility of taking over specialised group of development teams in India which has been working on similar domain where CSL has been operating.
 
CSL is also enhancing its marketing reach and has firmed up plans of opening up offices in Delhi, Dubai and the UK.
 
On the product front, CSL at present has three products "" Enterprise revenue Assurance, telecom application & Business Process Integration and Convergent Network Services.
 
"We have also readied a fourth product "" service delivery. "We have been talking to a few potential clients and the product would be launched as soon as we have struck a deal with one of these companies," he added.
