The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad has, between January and September 2013, had eight new faculty members join the institute.
In addition to the institute's director, Ashish Nanda who joined the institute early this month from the Harvard Law School, over half of new joinees at the institute come with international work experience.
While professor Naman Desai, prior to joining IIM-A worked as an Assistant Professor at the Dixon School of Accounting at the University of Central Florida (Orlando), professor Ramanathan Subramaniam, joins IIM Ahmedabad, after a stint at the University of Kansas.
This takes the total pool to 91 faculty members. IIM-A has a sactioned strength of 120 faculty members.
