Emami ropes in Chiru as brand ambassador

Emami has roped in Chiranjeevi as the new brand ambassador for its Navratna oil.
 
Addressing media here on Thursday, Harsha V Agarwal, director, Emami, said that despite his iconic and action hero image on the screen, Chiru was the perfect ambassador for Navratna oil as he has always been known for his cool and composed personality beyond the reel life.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi said that he plans to divert a substantial amount of the endorsement towards the eye bank, an integral part of Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust and to help at least a 1,000 visually-challenged in the coming two years.
 
As part of the agreement, Chiranjeevi will feature in Navratna oil commercials, which will hit the media within a month's time.
 
The Emami Group of Companies, a Rs 700-crore group is into the manufacture of beauty products, toiletry and cosmetics. Navratna oil, a Rs 100 crore-plus brand currently enjoys a leadership status in the cool oils category, Agarwal said.
 
The company already has among others Sourav Ganguly, Sunny Deol, Govinda, Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan as brand ambassadors for the same brand.
