The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) here today signed a strategic partnership agreement with Paris-based HEC School of Management.
"The partnership with HEC is to foster international understanding, development and partnership by stimulating and supporting educational, professional and cross cultural activities," IIM-A Director Samir Barua told reporters here.
"The activities would be in the field of management research and education among students, faculty, staff and business communities attached to the two institutes," he said.
The agreement for extending cooperation between the two globally renowned management institutes was signed by Barua on behalf of IIM-A and by Dean of HEC Bernard Ramanantsoa who was here with a delegation consisting of senior faculty members of the French business institute.
Founded in 1881, HEC School of Management is France's leading business school, with emphasis on research and publication and close links with the international business community.
