As part of its Management Development Programme, (MDP), the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will see 18 UK-based companies on its campus between March 16 and 20.
The India Marketing Strategy Scholarship Programme offers managers of London-based SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) a chance to learn from Indian experts in India about how to build their business in this market. This will be the second batch, looking for a business edge in India, to attend the marketing scholarship programme at IIM-A. The 2009 course was the first that IIM-A had ever run specifically for UK overseas entrepreneurs to increase their understanding of the Indian market.
This year's course, organised once more in collaboration with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) London and the London Development Agency (LDA), and supported by the Deputy High Commission in Mumbai and the British Trade Office in Ahmedabad, has attracted participants from industries like glass processing, hair products, cable and wiring systems, healthcare, soft drinks, and other business services.
