Entering the 50th year since its inception on December 11, 2010, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) has launched the Golden Jubilee logo. The launch of the Golden Jubilee logo will be followed by year long celebrations including alumni meet and various conferences.
The year long celebration will begin on December 11, 2010 by honouring retired faculty members, board members and staff who have served and contributed to build IIMA into a premier B-school.
Several international conferences are being organised as part of the Golden Jubilee celebration including the International Conference of Strategic Management Forum on December 15-17, 2010; Eighth AIMS-IIMA International Conference on Management Education on January 01-04, 2010; Fourth IIMA Conference on Marketing in Emerging Economies on January 05-07, 2011; and Fourth Doctoral Colloquium on January 03-04, 2011, among others.
Moreover, an alumni reunion of all batches will be held on December 25-26, 2010, which will see many alumni coming back to the campus along with the ones who passed out recently. A Silver Jubilee Reunion of PGP 1986 batch on December 22-24, 2010 and 20th Year Alumni Reunion of PGP 1991 batch on December 25-27, 2010 will also be held.
An IIMA Society Conference is being planned in March 2011 to discuss on 'Public Private Partnership in Education - a case study on IIMA'.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Convocation during the Golden Jubilee Year will be held on March 26, 2011 wherein Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been invited to be the chief guest of the occasion.
