Indian employers are looking at a paradigm shift in the way their businesses are going to be run and the profile of talent they would be acquiring. They are increasingly stressing on hiring superior technological expertise with a focus on agile and adaptive thinking, machine learning and artificial intelligence, virtual/cross-cultural collaboration, finds a TeamLease report on employment and business outlook for the October 2014 to March 2015 period.
Also, the employer need for newer, and more sophisticated skills is accelerating. Employers are also placing more emphasis on soft skills and team/collaborative skills and leveraging technological tools that enable hiring right-fit skills at scale.
From a sector perspective, except for Infrastructure, all the other sectors have expressed a healthy growth in their hiring intentions. While IT, healthcare, pharma and retail seem to be the primary drivers, telecom, FMCG and financial services also contribute to the upward movement in the hiring sentiment.
