The Indian School of Business (ISB) has launched a new Centre of Excellence for Leadership Innovation, and Change (CLIC). |
This is the fifth centre to be established at the ISB. The school has already set up four such centres in the areas of entrepreneurship, finance, logistics & manufacturing, and IT. |
"Launching the Centre for Leadership is in sync with our vision to groom business leaders for India and the world. We want to create thought leaders who will be able to change the way businesses are run in the future," ISB dean, M Rammohan Rao, said. |
According to an ISB press release, CLIC will work closely with companies, government, educational institutions, and non-government organisations in the areas of change management and innovation. It will execute applied research projects, develop special programmes, projects to increase organisational effectiveness, and create new repositories of knowledge. |
The centre will also introduce new elective courses in the postgraduate programme and executive education courses and conduct joint certificate courses in association with the industry. The centre aspires to grow into an international centre for developing global leaders by replicating the success of the Indian model in other emerging economies with the support of traditions specific to their countries. It is stated to have developed a unique 'integral approach' that is based on the integration of knowledge from wisdom traditions, scientific research, and contemporary management practices. "CLIC aspires to ignite the genius within individuals to become extraordinary global leaders. We will work with individuals and organisations and develop best practices to truly build on the 'India Advantage'," Prasad Kaipa, who has been appointed as the executive director of the centre, said. |
