While jobsites have been in vogue for some time now, even making a young jobseeker say: "It is so easy to get jobs nowadays. I just applied and within two days I had to undergo the first round of tests and then the first round of interview the next day. This, though I am a fresher."

Jobs have now become the second most popular application of the Internet. It is next only to email. With many of the company job sites being cluttered and finding your way through the maze with so many jobs on offer may nowadays become a challenge and often time consuming. What is now synonymous with the Internet dogs many of these too - clutter. The surfer can't find what he may be looking for.

Perhaps something like the search engine - one with a dialogue box wherein you type in what you are looking for - perhaps could be a solution. Indians are paid a lot of attention by the global businesses. Potential size of the market is too enticing for many to give it a miss. Many even feel that every business needs to have as much of a local flavour as possible to make a mark in the Indian market.

Monster.com, which has a large registered users in India, found that Indians had a different style of using jobsites. "So, monsterindia.com, is different from the parent monster.com," says Dhruv Shenoy, vice president - marketing, Asia, MonsterIndia.

The new site has been conceptualised and built entirely by the product and technology teams in India . The new site is focussed on providing a simple and intuitive solution to jobseekers and employers, adds Shenoy.

"The reason we call it revolutionary is because the new Monster India site will lend an entirely new meaning to the way people search for jobs and companies look for people," says Shenoy.
