Management Aptitude Test online registration closes on August 23

The paper-based test will be conducted on Sept 4, 2016, computer-based test is on Sept 10, 2016.

The All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi, has invited applications for Management Aptitude Test (MAT) September 2016. According to a notification on the official website www.aima.in, last date for online registration is August 23, 2016, Tuesday. The last date for purchase and submission of AIMA MAT September 2016 form is August 20, 2016, Saturday.
National level test conducted to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs in any B-School – national or International, MAT is conducted by AIMA four times in a year. Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply for MAT 2016. Final year graduation students can apply too, but their admission is provisional till they provide the graduation certificate.

MAT 2016

A standardised test, MAT has been approved by the Government of India, Ministry of HRD, as a national level test in 2003. Administered since 1988, the test facilitates business schools (B-schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Over 600 B-school in India and overseas (Link: http://resources.aima.in/nl/index_nwse_new.html) consider MAT score as an admission input based.

Candidate can choose any one of the two options to take the test: paper-based test or computer-based test. Venues for both tests are different. The paper-based test will take place only on one day September 4, 2016, at one time slot 10:00AM-12:30PM across venues. Computer-based test will take place from September 10, 2016 in different time slots. If the number of candidates registered for computer-based test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day, the test will be completed on September 10 2016.

If the number of candidates registered for computer-based test in a particular centre is very less, then there is a chance the candidates will not be able to avail the option. But they will have to appear for the paper-based test on September 4, 2016.

How to apply

Interested candidate can register online at website www.aima.in/matsept16 and make a payment of Rs. 1200 with credit card/debit card (ATM card) payment, or netbanking. Alternatively , they  can obtain crossed demand draft (DD) of Rs. 1200 in favour of All India Management Association, payable at Delhi, from any bank and register online along with the DD details.
Candidates can also obtain OMR registration form with MAT bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from AIMA, New Delhi.

All forms received at AIMA will be scanned / validated within three days and the form numbers will be available on website. The form will be scrutinized and, if found in order, it will be provisionally registered.

Candidates who have opted for computer-based test can choose the date and time slot, subject to availability. 

Registered candidates can download their admit card from AIMA website. Cards generated for the candidates opting for the paper-based test and those for the computer-based test are distinctively different. But every admit card contains candidate’s name, form no, roll no, test date, test time and test venue address.
