The Bangalore Management Association, a professional body to study and promote professional management, is in the process of building a Management Development Centre (MDC), at Electronic City in Bangalore. Being built now, and estimated to cost about Rs 16 crore,the facility will be spread over 45,000 square feet. The state government had allotted the 22,000 sq ft of land for the centre through Keonics.
The centre’s chief objectives is to apply the latest management theories to the shopfloor. “The MDC would look at various aspects of business,” said Manje Gowda, president, Bangalore Management Association (BMA) The MDC is expected to look at organisation, leadership, financial management, human resources, market environment and research, surveys, studies and innovations, skills development, public systems studies such as water management, waste management, power management, healthcare management among others.
