ISB ties up with Singapore varsity |

The Centre for IT and the Networked Economy at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, and the School of Information Systems at the Singapore Management University (SMU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote collaborative research in information systems (IS). |

Orissa's RCM plans Dubai campus |

Orissa's oldest management college, Regional College of Management (RCM), is planning an overseas campus at Dubai. The campus, in all likelihood, would be set up by 2009 with an investment of Rs 10 crore. |

Speaking to Business Standard Prabir Pal, founder director, RCM, said all preparations are underway to set up the Dubai campus. RCM had also planned a campus at Mauritius, but due to prohibitory prices of land it has kept the plan in abeyance. Pal said: "We are in advanced stage of negotiations for setting up the Dubai campus. We are confident it would fructify shortly". |

IBM, VIIT launch MS programme |

IBM India "" along with the Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) "" has launched a four year Master in Science (MS) programme to boost the employability of its non-engineering employees. |

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between IBM and VIIT on Thursday, VIIT will provide the expertise for IBM's Accelerated Career Excellence (ACE) programme. |

The four year MS programme in software engineering will be fully-funded by IBM and is mandatory for BSc-pass IBM employees. The programme will commence in July. |

Orissa's prominent B-school Asian School of Business Management (ASBM) has tied up with the country's biggest cargo mover and logistics and supply chain corporate 'Gati' for a one-year post graduate programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (PGPLSCM). |

The arrangement between ASBM and Gati also covers placement aspects under which students passing out of the PGPLSCM course from ASBM would most likely be taken in Gati. In its opening year, the course would have 30 students. |
