Nexgen School of Management and Technology has tied up with Troy State University (TSU) of USA to offer courses in business administration, computer science and mass communication.

The tie-up will allow Indian students undertake courses from the US based university from India. Students can also opt to complete a part of the course in the US.

NEXGEN was granted the authority to offer 3+1 American degree Credit Transfer Programme through ITS University, Colombo.

This will allow students to complete three years of American University work at Nexgen School of Management and Technology and transfer the credits earned to TSU as well as other universities in the US like California state university, ITS University, City University, universities of Western, Eastern, Central and Southern Connecticut, Witchits State University, University of Nebraska, Oklahoma City University, and the University of Houston.

Nexgen also offers college level entrance programme (CLEP) preparation courses which allows students to take CLEP examinations and receive up to one year university credit allowing students to complete a four-year undergraduate course in three years.

It is planning to bridge courses of approximately six months preparing students for MBA studies at TSU and other American Universities, facilitating the completion of a three year post graduate course in two years.

Nexgen sources said it would global standard primary, secondary, graduation and post graduation studies. Its course would fill the gap between conventional education and the HR requirement of employers.

"The courses at Nexgen are designed to impart global educational trends, which encourages studying a wide range of subjects before majoring in any specific one. While giving students the flexibility to decide, this also equips them with a wider outlook and perspective," explained officials.

TSU sources said it served more than 23,000 students worldwide on four campuses located in Alabama and across the globe with over 50 sites and teaching locations.

This includes Troy State University, sites at Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. TSU offers 70 major, 30 minor and 10-pre professional programmes.
