Nirma University will be hosting an international conference on management in the university campus during January 2-4. The conference, Nicom-2004, will be inaugurated on Friday evening by the minister of state for industries and mines, Anil Patel, and Kirit S Parikh, professor emeritus, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, will be the chief guest. |
On Saturday, Shuzo Hibino, professor of Chukyo University, Japan, will deliver his speech on 'Breakthrough Thinking', while Abhijit Bhattacharya, professor of Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Natal in South Africa will chair the session. |
On Sunday, A K Balyan, director (human resources) of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, will speak on 'Technology Management: Issues and Perspective', while the session will be chaired by Namjae Cho, professor of College of Business Administration, Hanyang University, Seoul. |
In another session on Sunday, Sudarshan Iyenger, director of Gujarat Institute of Development Research (GIDR), will talk on 'Environment and Sustainable Development'. In the concluding session, Akhil Marfatia, director of Win for Life Foundation, will speak on 'Building the Winner Managers in WTO Regime'. |
Also, industry experts, faculties of various business schools are expected to attend the conference, which is being organised for the second time by Nirma University. |
