Professional Tutorials plans expansion

To open 25 branches in Maharashtra by 2007

Professional Tutorials Education, a leading teaching institution, is planning to expand its branch network through out the country.
 
"Currently, we are operating 40 branches and plan to increase it to 200 by 2007. Out of 200, around 25 branches will be opened in Maharashtra. We have now four branches in the state, and by May, we will be opening more branches in Mumbai, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Solapur and Latur," said Santosh Talegaonkar, senior brand manager, PT Education.
 
The institute imparts training to students for various competitive exams and for professional career in MBA, MCA, MMS/MCA, Pre Engineering Tests, GRE/GMAT, Personality Development Programs etc. It is introducing a new curriculum called the 'Power of 4.' Under this programme, the thrust will on developing four skills of grammar, English language, logic and soft skills.
 
PT Education has appointed Raju Srivastava, one of the six finalists of "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" and well-known TV actor as the humour ambassador for PT Education.
 
"We wish to prepare students for the competitive exams with as much fun as possible to reduce stress. Raju will regularly visit our branches and help students in bringing down the stress level. It will help in better performance by the students," Talegaonkar said.
 
"The question pattern at CAT exams is changing rapidly. The percentage of negative counting has increased up to one third of last year. Last year, we trained more than 18,000 students and hope to double this figure in coming years. Nearly 450 students trained by us have been selected by the IIMs this year," said Deepak Kulaskar, head-Pune centre.
