Reliance Info, XIMB to offer PG course in management

Reliance Infocomm (RIM) and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), have joined hands to offer postgraduate course in management through Reliance Web World where 500 students can attend virtual classes every year.

"We have developed infrastructure at all our Web World centres to conduct the classes through the e-learning process. Students can see and hear live lectures of their professors, view slides, audio-visuals as well as participate in interactive sessions with their professors and other students,'' R Balachandran, chief executive officer, Reliance Infocomm, told Business Standard.

After completion of the course, XIMB will conduct online examinations through Reliance Web Worlds.

"We have already started the admission process both at Vizag and Hyderabad and classes will commence from November 1," he added.

"Very shortly we are also going to introduce IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification) course for school students at Vizag's Web World in association with India Cyber Learning," he said.

Navaratri offer

RIM is offering its customers, Navaratri, a bouquet of content which includes aartis, bhajans, garba, ringtones among other things on its R World. RIM users can download the content besides sending the specially-designed musical animation greetings and pictures to other users, a press release said here on Tuesday.
