Weston plans comeback, to offer flat TVs for Rs 6,900

that after confining itself in OEM for almost a decade, the company is now once again trying to make inroads into the domestic market with Weston brand.
 
Vachani was here in Kolkata for the launch of its flat CTV ranges. He said he is optimistic that the Weston brand could once again be in the big league.
 
The company is now offering 16 products in CTV. Vachani claimed that Weston has launched the cheapest flat TV in the country with a price tag of Rs 6,990. "Such a cheap price will revolutionise the market ," he added.
 
Senior vice president (marketing) of Weston, Sunil Sethi informed that the company is eyeing a 35 per cent growth in CTV sales this year. Dixon has achieved Rs 70 crore turnover for Weston brand in 2004-05. It is hoping to cross Rs 100 crore mark in the current fiscal.
 
According to Sethi, Dixon had posted a turnover of Rs 450 crore in 2004-05. The majority of the turnover was from OEM division mopping up Rs 350 crore. "But now this is going to change," he added.
