Wipro Limited had conducted its "annual HR review", a key component of which is to look for suitable people to fill top jobs at the company that might fall vacant for whatever reason. |
The review, and an accompanying "360 degree feedback on the performance of key people, called Wipro Quality Leaders" extends to the company's chairman Azim Premji as well, senior executives said. |
The succession plans are drawn up and reviewed every year, usually during the middle of the year, and are done for Premji's position too, Pratik Kumar, vice president and head of human resources at the company told Business Standard. The top man too, has a retirement age, "as per his own contract with the company" and it also has an extension clause, Kumar said. |
Premji's immediate subordinates are vice chairman Vivek Paul and chief financial officer Suresh Senapathy. |
