This bike in its 100 CC format with its long wheelbase, a strong, rigid double cradle chassis and excellent suspension set-up has for a long time held the distinction of being among the stablest among the 100 CCs around, and among the best to straighten out a fast corner. The 125 CC development was done in-house by Bajaj after the company disassociated with Kawasaki for any further two-stroke development. It should also have been among the most comfortable, but this is absolutely impossible with a knife-thin seat that is reminiscent of sitting astride a compound wall during an earthquake. Apart from the badging, there is no difference in appearance from the 100 RTZ, its predecessor and we feel the newer one could have been presented with more contemporary lines. Anyway, with its 125 CC engine and a sweet powerband, the KB125 begs for one more cog in the gear box. Mind you, despite the emission norms, we Indians can still buy and enjoy two-stroke mobikes on public roads and we urge enthusiasts to make the maximum out of this opportunity - before such bikes become history.
