Over hundred stocks trade ex-dividend

RIL, HPCL, Biocon, Cadila Healthcare, TVS Motor, CESC, Shree Cement, Torrent Power & Marico went ex-dividend today.

106 stocks trade ex-dividend

As many as 106 stocks including Reliance Industries (RIL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL), Biocon, Cadila Healthcare, TVS Motor Company, CESC, Shree Cement, Torrent Power and Marico which had announced interim dividends were quoted  ex-dividend today.

RIL declared an interim dividend of Rs 10.50 per fully paid-up equity share of Rs 10 each. Total payout to shareholders would be Rs 3,402 crore and to the promoters would be Rs 1,548 crore. RIL has fixed March 18 as the record date.

AIA Engineering declared an interim dividend of Rs 8 (400%) per equity share and a special (additional interim) dividend of Rs 10 (500%) per equity share to commemorate the silver jubilee year of the company; making the aggregate interim dividend of Rs 18 (900%) per equity share for the financial year 2015-16.

TTK Prestige declared interim dividend of Rs 27 per share, while Borosil Glass Works announced Rs 25 per share and Empire Industries and Symphony declared Rs 20 per share each for the current fiscal.

Piramal Enterprises, Cheviot Company, Tata Investment Corporation and Vardhman Textiles announced interim dividend between Rs 15- Rs 18 per share, while Shree Cement, Wim Plast and Lumax Industries declared dividend of Rs 12 per share.

Since February 29, more than 200 companies announced that they will pay dividends to shareholders before the end of 31 March after finance minister Arun Jaitley introduced a 10% additional tax on individuals with dividend income of over Rs 10 lakh in the budget for the year starting 1 April.

In next three trading sessions, total 137 stocks will turn ex-dividend. The list includes Hero MotoCorp, TVS Srichakra, Bharat Forge, Eicher Motors, Ceat and Amara Raja Batteries.
