 "150 stocks rally over 30% in March")
Current rally in equity markets has seen about 150 stocks from the BSE gain over 30% during March.
11 sugar stocks – Dwarikesh Sugar, Upper Ganges Sugar, Dharani Sugars, Oudh Sugar Mills, Rajshree Sugars, Thiru Arooran Sugars, Dhampur Sugars, Dalmia Bharat Sugar, KM Sugar Mills, Sakthi Sugars and Uttam Sugar Mills – have rallied between 50-100% amid expectations of an increase in their realisations in future.
JK Cement, Prism Cement, Mangalam Cement, Panyam Cement and Dalmia Bharat from the cement sector have firmed up, as industry players believe that the industry could see a turnaround going ahead.
Analysts at Religare Institutional Research, for instance, believe earnings downgrades, particularly for large-caps, are nearing an end as volume and pricing have turned favourable and cost benefits have begun to flow in.
Websol Energy Systems, a leading manufacturer of photovoltaic monocrystalline solar cells and modules in India, has seen its market value more-than-double from Rs 30.25 to Rs 62.20 during the month. The company on March 11, said that the loan facilities availed by the company from Allahabad bank being the lead banker have assigned their entire loan as on date to Asset Reconstruction Company.
The S&P BSE Sensex was up 0.38% or 97 points at 25,449 at 10:40 AM, surging nearly 11% in month of March on back of strong investments by the overseas investors. Foreign institutional investors’ (FII) inflow in the Indian market so far this month is the highest single-month investment since February 2013.
According to data from National Securities Depository and Securities and Exchange Board of India, FIIs have put in Rs 21,327 crore ($3.18 billion) thus far in the Indian market during the current month (till March 29).
