441 scrips hit the roof in a single day

50 scrips closed at an all-time highs on the BSE

One out of every five traded stocks hit the upper limit of the circuit filter on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday.

Of the total 2,425 stocks traded on Tuesday on the BSE, 441 scrips hit the upper circuit. Fifty scrips closed at an all-time highs on the BSE.

Of this, as many as 224 stocks are from the BSE's B2 group, 123 from the T group, 47 from the B group, and 46 scrips are from the Z group.

Ispat Industries, was the only scrip from the elite A group to have closed at the upper circuit filter.

Out of the 441 scrips, 98 closed at 20 per cent higher and 150 others gain between 10 per cent and 20 per cent against their previous day's close price. These stocks have a circuit filter lower than 20 per cent.

Ruchi Soya closed 20 per cent higher at Rs 124.05 against its previous day's close of Rs 103.65 on the BSE.

Lumax Industries Rs 143.60 (Rs 119.70), Grauer and Weil Rs 79.90 (Rs 66.60), Apcotex Lattices Rs 68.65 (Rs 57.45), Mid-Day Multimedia Rs 58.85 (Rs 49.05), Lumax Auto Systems Rs 52 (Rs 43.35), Emmsons International Rs 30 (Rs 25) and Ispat Industries Rs 25.60 (Rs 21.40) are the other stocks to close 20 per cent higher against their previous day's close.

Essar Steel, Uttam Galva, Solectron Centum Electronics, Jetking Infrotrain, Eicher, Pantaloon Industries, PI Industries, Vaibhav Gems, Hindustan Dorr-Oliver, Surana Telecom, TIL, Clutch Auto, Saarc Net and Panama Petrochem have closed 10 per cent higher of the upper circuit.

Ramco Industries, Gammon India, Shivalik Bimetal,Upper Ganges Sugar, Vicker Systems, Kojam Investments, HBL Nife Power, Oudh Sugar Mill and Steel Strips Wheel closed five per cent of upper limit of circuit filter.

Aeonian Investments Rs 1,801.15 (Rs 1,765.85), Alembic Glass Rs 414.10 (Rs 406), Dynamatic Technologies Rs 257.45 (Rs 252.45) and Ugar Sugar Rs 180.45 (Rs 176.95) close at upper limit of two per cent circuit filter on the BSE.
