Shares of 8K Miles Software Services, Gayatri Projects, Jubilant Industries, Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel and Jubilant Industries are among 19 stocks to hit 52-week highs on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in early morning trades.
8K Miles Software Services has gained 7% to Rs 1,238, extending its previous day’s 20% surge on the BSE. The stock of the leading global cloud & security solutions company has outperformed the market by surging 47% from its recent low of Rs 841 touched on August 13.
Gayatri Projects has zoomed 17% to Rs 500 on the BSE in intra-day trades. At 09:46 AM, the stock was up 3% at Rs 439, extending Wednesday’s 3% gain, after the company said that it has bagged orders worth Rs 3,318 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for development of sections of National Highway 233 and National Highway 56 near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel has surged 6% to Rs 410 after hitting a high of Rs 424, also its 52-week high on the BSE in intra-day trades. The stock has zoomed 90% in the past one week from Rs 215 on August 20.
Monnet Ispat and Energy on Wednesday said that it has agreed 'in-principle' to sell its stake in Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel to Bhushan Steel.
"We are in-principal agreeable to sell our stake held in Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel Ltd to Bhushan Steel Ltd," Monnet Ispat & Energy said in a regulatory filing. But no commercial terms and valuations have been finalised, the company added.
Shares of houseware company La Opala RG too touched a 52-week highs of Rs 627, while agrochemicals company Jubilant Industries has hit a high of Rs 285 on the BSE in early morning trades.
