Aban Offshore has surged 5% to Rs 334 after oil exploration and production firm said it has signed contract for the deployment of the jack-up rig Deep Driller 7 offshore Mexico for a firm period of 1005 days, ending December 31, 2015.
The estimated revenues from the deployment is about $152 million (approx Rs 828 crore), Aban Offshore said in a statement.
The stock opened at Rs 321 and hit a high of Rs 340 on BSE. A combined 1.60 million shares have changed hands on the counter so far on BSE and NSE.
