The ABB scrip rose 4.6 per cent to close the day at Rs 754.75 on reports that it has won orders worth Rs 220 crore from Tata Projects for the Krishnapatnam thermal power plant. For the project, ABB will provide an electrical balance of plant solution, including transformers, switchgear and protection equipment, as well as a 400-kilovolt turnkey substation to facilitate power transmission. The stock opened at Rs 728.1 and made an intra-day high of Rs 759 and a low of Rs 720. The scrip has made a 52-week high of Rs 947 (June 23, 2008) and a low of Rs 344 (March 4, 2009).
