Allcargo Logistics has surged 11% to Rs 342, extending its Friday’s 7% rally on the BSE, after reporting robust 51% year on year (yoy) jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 63.6 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014 (Q2). The company had registered a profit of Rs 42.1 crore in the same quarter last year.
Total revenue grew 37% yoy to Rs 1,476 crore, mainly on account of increase in revenues across all the business segments of multimodal transport operations, container freight stations operations and Project & engineering solutions, Allcargo Logistics said in a statement.
The stock opened at Rs 312 and touched a record high 343 on the BSE. A combined 865,055 shares changed hands on the counter till 1340 hours on BSE and NSE.
