Almond declines on sluggish demand

In restricted activity, almond prices traded lower by Rs 50 per 40 kg in the wholesale dry fruits market today on subdued demand against adequate stocks.

Traders said sufficient stocks position against subdued demand helped almond prices to trade lower.

Almond (California) declined by Rs 50 to Rs 9,900 per 40 kg. Its kernel also shed Rs 2 to Rs 360-365 per kg.
