Almond declines on subdued demand

Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to selling pressure amid subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

Adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from overseas markets also weighed down the prices. Almond (california) prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 9,900 per 40 kg and almond (california kernel) eased by Rs 5 to Rs 345-355 per kg.

Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to reduced offtake by stockists and retailers. Meanwhile, prices of other dry fruits remained steady on scattered deals.
