In a range-bound trading, almond prices fell by Rs 3.50, or 1.17 per cent, to Rs 295 per kg, in futures market today on adequate stocks and increased arrivals at spot market amid sluggish demand.

At Multi Commodity Exchange platform, almond for current- month June contract declined by Rs 3.50, or 1.17 per cent, to Rs 295 per kg, with an open interest of 132 lots.

However, almond for delivery in September contract held steady at Rs 320.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 14 lots.

Market experts said increased supplies in the physical markets amid subdued demand helped almond prices to trade lower at futures trade.
