Almond prices rose Rs 3.75, or 1.08 per cent, to Rs 350 per kg in futures trading today on pick up in demand in view of marriage season.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, almond for June-contract rose by Rs 3.75, or 1.08 per cent, to Rs 350 per kg, with an open interest of 141 lots.

However, the almond for delivery in September-contract held steady at Rs 346.25 per kg in 3 lots.

Experts said pick up in demand at spot markets followed by the ongoing marriage season against less arrivals from producing regions pushed up almond prices in futures trade.
