Almond prices fell by Rs three, or 0.93 per cent, at Rs 318 per kg in futures trade today, as traders booked profits at existing higher levels, against fresh arrivals in the spot market.
A weak demand in physical market due to off-marriage and festival season also put pressure on the prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, almond for delivery in September contract fell by Rs three, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 318 per kg, with a trading volume of two lots.
Traders said apart from profit-booking, fall in demand in the spot market due to off-marriage season, mainly pulled down the almond prices at futures market here.
