Alstom Projects India (Alstom) has moved higher by 5% to Rs 416 after the company said that it has received an order worth of Rs 314 crore from the state-owned company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
As per the contract, Alstom will work with BHEL in designing the boilers and supply pressure parts of the 660 MW supercritical boilers along with pulverisers and airpreheater components.
“Alstom has been awarded a contract approximately Rs 530 crore (euro 100 million) by BHEL, to supply components and services for the 660 MW supercritical boilers at NTPC sites of two units located in Mouda, Maharashtra,” Alstom said in a filing.
Out of the entire aforesaid contract, the company’s scope of work would be Rs 314 crore or euro 45.40 million, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 398 and touched high of Rs 418 on the NSE. A combined 525,873 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on both the exchanges.
