Aluminium today traded lower by Rs 0.25 to Rs 100.95 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions on fall in demand at the physical markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for August month shed Rs 0.25, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 100.95 per kg with an open interest of 2,558 lots.
The metal for delivery in September month also traded lower by Rs 0.15, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 102.10 per kg in 203 lots.
Marketmen said fall in demand for the metal at spot market mainly attributed to the decline in aluminium prices at futures trade.
