Aluminium futures traded marginally lower by Rs 0.50, or 0.54 per cent, at Rs 91.70 per kg today, on the back of a weak trend in global base metal markets amid subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June contract eased by Rs 0.50, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 91.70 per kg, with a turnover of 277 lots.
The metal for delivery in July contract also weakened by Rs 0.40, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 92.75 per kg, with a turnover of 87 lots.
Marketmen said weak trend prevailed in global base metal markets, as concerns over economic recovery continued to weigh on the sentiment, which led to a fall in aluminium prices in futures trade here.
On the London Metal Exchange platform, aluminium traded 0.89 per cent down at $1,834 per tonne.
