Aluminium traded slightly lower by Rs 0.10 or 0.11 per cent, at Rs 93 per kg in futures trade today after speculators booked profits, driven by weak trend at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in July contract fell by Rs 0.10 or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 93 per kg, with a turnover of 195 lots.

The metal for delivery in August contract also eased by similar margin to Rs 94 per kg, with a turnover of six lots.

Marketmen said profit-taking by speculators and subdued demand for the metal at the physical market and weak trend at the LME mainly led to a fall in aluminium prices in futures market here.

Meanwhile, aluminium fell 0.15 per cent at $2,001 per tonne at the London Metal Exchange.
