Aluminium futures prices moved up by 0.22 per cent to Rs 112.50 per kg today, on a firming trend in other base metals overseas amid better-than-forecast US industrial output.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in January gained 25 paise, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 112.50 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.
The metal for delivery in February also strengthened by 25 paise, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 113.60 per kg, with a trading volume of seven lots.
Meanwhile, at the London Metal Exchange, aluminium rose 0.5 per cent to $2,485 per tonne.
Market analysts said firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange after better-than-expected US industrial output, which boosted demand prospects and influenced aluminium futures prices here.
