Aluminium futures fall on global cues

Aluminium prices traded down by losing 0.14 per cent to Rs 107.55 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators reduced their holdings on the back of weakening global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for December delivery slipped by 15 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 108.55 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots. 

Similarly, the metal for January delivery traded lower to Rs 108.65 per kg, with a business turnover of six lots. 

Market analysts said falling of aluminium futures prices was due to a weak trend in it prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Meanwhile, aluminium fell 0.3 per cent to $2,370 a tonne at the LME.
