Aluminium trades 0.33% higher in futures trade

In a range bound trading, aluminium futures prices traded in positive zone, rising marginally by Rs 0.30, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 92.35 per kg at futures market today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, aluminium for delivery in August contract gained by Rs 0.30, or 0.33 per cent higher, at Rs 92.35 per kg, with a business volume of one lot.

The metal for delivery in July contract also moved up by Rs 0.25, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 91.30 per kg, with a turnover of seven lots.

Market analysts said reports of recovery in base metals in global markets, after positive US job data helped aluminium prices to rise at futures trade here.

At the London Metal Exchange, aluminium increased 0.80 per cent to $1,952 per tonne, while at Shanghai it climbed 0.3 per cent to 14,820 yuan per tonne in early trade today.
