Moving in a range of 63 points, the Sensex touched a low of 4,684.42 and a high of 4,747.59 in intra-day trades today.
Opening firm, it lost ground in early trades on selling pressure, losing further ground in the afternoon, but recovered later on good buying support.
Scrips losing ground were at 676, outpacing gainers at 579. The BSE turnover was marginally up from Tuesday at Rs 2,137.57 crore while the NSE turnover was down by more than Rs 260 crore at Rs 4,626.01 crore.
