Arhar, its dal soften on subdued demand

In restricted activity, arhar and its dal prices softened by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on restricted buying activity.

Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said restricted buying activity against adequate stocks kept arhar and its dal prices marginally lower.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,800-3,900 and Rs 4,950-5,350 per quintal.
