Arhar and moong prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on rising demand.
Traders said rising demand in view of marriage season amid tight supply in the market led to rise in arhar and moong prices.
Arhar and its dal dara variety rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,700-3,800 and Rs 4,700-5,100 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local remained in demand and added Rs 100 each to Rs 4,150-4,550 and Rs 5,000-5,400, while moong dal dhoya local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,450-5,650 and Rs 5,950-6,150 per quintal.
