The stock slipped to a low of Rs 52.05 but managed to recover and end flat at Rs 52.50. Over 12.72 lakh shares were traded on the BSE as against a two-week daily average trade of 6.67 lakh shares.

Ashok Leyland has advanced 3% on the back of a three-fold jump in sales.
The stock opened at 53.10 and rose to a high of Rs 54.40. The scrip is trading at Rs 53.70, up 3% from the previous close. The counter clocked volumes of 4.97 lakh shares on the BSE.
Ashok Leyland January sales have soared three-fold to 7,871 vehicles compared to 2,444 vehicles during the same month last year.
Domestic sales even surged 268% to 7,460 units from 2,026 units a year ago.
