Asian markets down on Lehman woes, Opec output cut

Asian markets have lost ground on Wednesday after weakness in the US markets. Opec decided to cut production by 500,000 barrels a day to stop the price decline in oil.

The Nikkei is down 0.9% to 12,288. The Hang Seng has lost 1.4% to 20,207 points. Shanghai is up over 1%, while Korea and Taiwan are also in the positive.
