Asian markets end flat

Asian markets ended flat. The Hang Seng closed at 21,209, down 18 points, and the Shanghai Composite ended weaker by 37 points at 3013.

The Seoul Composite ended at 1,662, higher by six points, Straits Times closed at 2881, up seven points, and Taiwan Weighted ended one point lower at 7,748.

Nikkei was the only market to exhibit strength, gaining 86 points to end at 10,751.

Asian markets continue to trade flat today. The Hang Seng is now down 17 points at 21,211. The Nikkei has, however, gained 77 points at 10,742.

The Taiwan Weighted has slipped six points to 7,743. The Straits Times is up five points at 2,879.

The Shanghai Composite and the Seoul Composite are virtually unchanged at 3,050 and 1,658, respectively.

Asian markets have opened weak this morning. The Hang Seng has slipped 17 points to 21,212. The Nikkei has added 44 points to 10,708.

The Shanghai Composite has dipped 11 points to 3,040. The Taiwan Weighted, Straits Times and Seoul Composite are flat in morning trades.
